Miguel studied lutherie at Academia Nacional de Luthiers with Daniel Garfo (Delfina Guitars) and guitar tech at Clínica da Guitarra with João Oliveira (Roidz Guitars), specialising in bass guitars.

As a luthier, his practice explores the aesthetic of things through material encounters, relationships and tensions.

Miguel creates from a process of analysis, transformation, and replacement of things.

He solves design conflicts with precise minimalistic means, exploring the point where things become something else.

He is also a collector of musical instruments, focusing on bass guitars.
